    This was our second order from Blue Nest Beef, and our first time trying the chicken. As with the beef, we love the abundance of flavor that the chicken possessed. It’s a very natural taste giving a sense of the terroir where the bird was raised. (Like a fine wine.) My previous go to chicken was Mary’s organic, which is good quality, so to say that we preferred this bird, is quite a complement. We love supporting the ranchers who are regenerating and preserving habitat for native grassland birds, while at the same time delivering humanely raised, and delicious products! Thank you for the important work you’re doing!

    Make no mistake about it, Blue Nest Beef is grass-fed beef done the right way. The flavor is robust and beefy, the juices flowing, rich, and present their own gravy of sorts. Easy to cut, a pleasure to chew, and almost a pity you have to swallow it! But, it’s in your gut that the real magic of such a nutritionally balanced food source goes to work so knowing so was its own reward. The burgers were a breeze to peel and slap down on a cast iron griddle, seared up quick though so pay attention! The taste of the ground beef stood out from the bun and condiments as a great burger should. None of that lost-in-the-crowd corn-fed blandness. Highly recommended. I haven’t gotten to the chicken yet, so might be back for another review!

    I am a fourth-generation Angeleno. My wife is a 5th generation Texan. We are baby boomers, who grew up eating dry-aged beef. My mother’s brother was an ob/gyn, who delivered me. He and a group of doctors started cattle ranching in the late 50s, in the San Joaquin Valley, in Central California, to get the agricultural tax write-off. My uncle built a dry-age shed back then. I was fortunate enough to live for five years, mostly in Paris, where I had my fair share of Charolais beef and occasionally Aberdeen Angus and, memorably, Sussex, when I was in the UK. After my dad died in the late 90s, my mother, my wife and I spent a few months in South America, eating grass-fed beef in Venezuela, Brazil and Argentina. In short, we know our beef. We have tasted the strip, the filet and the ground beef. What a revelation!

    I received my sampler box as a gift and absolutely loved it. Now, this is my go-to gift for friends as well! I just cooked the filet mignon today with a mushroom and wine sauce – the meat was so tender and flavorful. Our first picnic of the season a few weekends ago featured hamburgers made from the ground beef — again, wonderful! I cannot tell you what a big hit this is for my family and me. I can tell you that, on the strength of my experience with Blue Nest, we’ve signed up for a subscription so that we can keep enjoying this great flavor on a regular basis. Not only is the product great, but the customer service has been as well. Really a wonderful experience, all the way around!

    Still working our way through our sampler box. The flavor is different and better than typical grocery store beef, more along the lines of my experience of bison. Juiciness and leanness is amazing. I’m also supportive of the regenerative agriculture cause and interested in this as an alternative to the alternative meat craze gripping so many others. I suspect its healthier in the absolute as well. So, this is an all around better choice in my mind.
